hiiiii
i am still on a mission to scrap more about me and my life. this layout is about mum who we lost in february. i really wanted to document some of my feelings throughout her illness and how it helped me to get a better understanding of her life and the impact it has had on me.
so i did a whole ton of journalling for a change. most unlike me but it was a cathartic experience. do you record and make pages about difficult times?
here is the layout…
i used a globe cut file from the silhouette store and just added a heart at the top right where i knew i wanted my photo to be.
lots and lots and LOTS of fussy cut flowers from paige evans paper line called oh my heart. i adore these papers. i added in a ton of enamel dots from my stash, from other collections but the colours were perfect and it added a little dimension to the page.
the thickers are fabulous but i can’t remember who they are by, possibly pinkfresh studio but don’t quote me on that ha!
here are some close ups…
excuse my handwriting – i started and couldn’t stop, i could have carried on writing for ever, so expect some more layouts that are mum related.
i forgot to say that i hand stitched around the shape in orange – LOVE pink and orange together.
thanks for having a look
you can find me on
βtil next time

Love your layout. I lost my mom almost seven years ago and haven’t scrapped a thing about her yet. β€

It’s horrible isn’t it, a connection with a mum is like no other. Thank you. Have a go at documenting it as it really helped me and is so good to look back on! C x
