hiiiii
i’m back again with another challenge i took part in on the hey little magpie chat and inspiration page. this challenge was no.9 using a large shape on your layout.
here is the page i made…
i chose to use a wood veneer shape that i had in my stash from an old studio calico kit i think?
i wanted to create some banners so i placed the shape on the page where i wanted it and then from the points on the shape i hand drew some string lines, then used my pokey tool and hand stitched them.
i fancied using my felicity jane maggie kit from august 2016 (this has sold out now, but the september kit is amazing). it had a paper with lots of teeny hearts so i fussy cut lots out – and yes – it took ages HA! i strung them along the stitched lines and randomly placed other pieces of ephemera from the kit. i LOVE those little rubber shapes, especially the bows!
here are some close ups…
i adore that photo of freya sat amongst the bluebells at bodnant gardens in north wales. i used to have a little shop there and it was perfect when the frillies used to come and help out!
i hope you like it and i still have more challenge shares for you!
don’t forget…
