when my lovely crafty friend tori bissell asked me to do a couple of projects to showcase her new digital scrap collection called bliss i was chuffed to get involved! You can see a full reveal of the collection on here blog here. Also she has done a you tube video of the kit here.
sooooo the collection is full of some bright colours and some softer ones and you know i had to run with the softer ones.
first up i made a layout – where the sun meets the sea…this little cove is where i spend 3 weeks of utter bliss each summer in a cottage called fisherman’s loft overlooking this view – heaven. my happy place and i’ve been going all my life!
in the collection are some sun shapes, i fussy cut them out and then used one of them as a template to lay on my background and poke holes through then stitched with yellow thread. i also used a couple of them and wrapped thread around them, dangling some sequins off. this was inspired my my fabulous and talented crafty friend Tammy, click here to see her amazing layout.
i then tore up the blue woodgrain paper to make the waves, i like how that turned out. behind the photo i popped in layers from the paper collection and some embellishments from my stash.
i have to say that this is my first time using a digital collection and was amazed how easy it was, so if you’ve been put off by digital in the past don’t be – dive in and have a go!
here are some close ups…
now for the second project – a mini book
i make these a lot and sell them in my etsy shop and at fairs, i felt it would be a good way to show more of the papers in the collection…
the paper i used to cover it with is deffo my fave!
here are the inside pics and more of the papers…
i hope you enjoyed looking and please pop over and see tori, she is running a give away on her blog to celebrate the launch of bliss.
