i’ve been sooooo busy for the past week making lots of new stock for fairs YIKES! but i did have a bit of time to take part in the challenges on the new hey little magpie facebook page and let me tell you – i have had a blast. making for the fun of it is such a wonderful way to spend a weekend!!!
hey little magpie is a pretty amazing online shop that sells crafty goodies the likes of which you dream of! if i have money to spare (rare) then i can’t resist!
anyway – back to the point, i’ve gone into rambling mode HA!
one of the challenges was to scrap using black, white and a colour of your choice and YUP i reverted to type and chose pink. this is what i came up with and usually i can be quite self critical but even i love this page…
the papers are mainly from the AMAZING crate paper cute girl collection – my fave brand and my fave collection from them ever – yellows, pinks, aquas, teals all make up an adorable palette.
the only paper that isn’t is the floral one which came in my felicity jane kit, ofcourse i had to cut the flowers out. i used my fingers to make the flowers pop up and then used my hot glue gun to stick them on. the best way to do that is to add a blob of hot glue to the back of the flower, let it cool a little than stick it on, this makes the flowers pop up more.
i added in some embellishments from the collection – let me say – that little rabbit was perfect YAY!
here are some more close ups…
i am so chuffed with how it turned out and am now heading to the page to enter my layout in the challenge.
whatever you do, take some time to scrap for fun, it has totally refreshed me and i’m so relaxed.
i’ll be back very soon with another share for you
