hiiiii

just a quick layout share for you today, shock horror, it has no patterned paper at all! so unusual for me.

this layout came about because i had made another layout using my silhouette machine and was left with a whole bunch of hearts in different sizes – i just couldn’t throw them away. does anyone else adore the left over pieces on the mat?

anyway, i simply watercoloured them all in different shades, popped this adorable picture in a frame and then embellished the hearts. now for the silly bit….

most people would stamp before they added the hearts but oh no, not me!

i had originally intended the background to be plain white but when i had finished it looked too bare, so i grabbed a stamp that had 3 teeny polka on it and stamped around the hearts, phew what a pest! i stamped darker down the centre panel and at each side i just did a second stamp with the same ink pad to give it a faded out look. i loved how it turned out.

the layout is now just waiting for it’s journaling and it’s done YAY!
