our happy place…

ok just a quick post today

i am soooooo desperate to get my hands on the new paige taylor evans collection for pink paisley and have per ordered the whole lot from scrobby, it’s not due out until the end of march time so i have to be patient. butttttttttttttt in the meantime i was lucky enough to get hold of a set of papers, and some embellishments from a lovely lady that i know.

me being me i had to dive in and make a layout – now it’s a fairly simple one where i used a sheet of the patterned paper that is in 2 x 2 inch squares of different designs LOVE IT! and chopped it apart. i made lots of small pinwheels, i followed a simple tutorial on you tube which was helpful. i decided not to add a centre for my pinwheels as i liked the flashes of colour and the dimension with them left loose.

i fussed around for ages trying to see how i would like them to look on the page, i filled a whole page with a lovely design but it looked a bit too much so removed some until i was happy with it. the photograph was placed in the centre of the design. around the shapes felt a little bare so i used some freckled fawn puffy sticker hearts in gold that i got from the like for ever shop (just silver left at the moment) then dashes of heidi swapp colour shine in gold lame and teal. lastly i used a couple of the collections acetate shapes to add the title and that’s it!

here is the final layout….

i really hope you like it.
