hiiiiiii, i’m on a roll with the pretty colours of the crate paper, hello love collection and have another layout for you……
one of the papers has a whole spread of small view finder frames and i had a photograph of one of the views from the frillies house, sooooooo i decided straight away on a heading, ‘love our views’
i decided to chop the sheet of paper up and create individual frames making lots of squares, i used a black pen and drew a line around each square then ruckled/scruffed all the edges up to create interest and dimension
i popped those on one side and using october afternoon white mist which i splattered freely around the pale grey background card stock. then using a teeny snowflake stamp from an old set created by one little bird and studio calico, i don’t think you can get it any more but here is a link to the shop anyway.
close up of the stamp and splatters…..
next i needed to try and place the squares around the edge of the layout so to give me some sort of guide i pencilled in a line about 1.5 inches in from the edge, over the top of the pencil line i used the black pen again and hand drew two uneven lines. on top of this i placed the square frames all around the edge and used wet glue so i could adjust them slightly as i went.
in each of the squares i placed an embellishment, using mostly the same collection, but occasionally other older ones from other crate paper collections including poolside and fourteen. i used mainly hearts to reflect the title.
i used lots of papers from the collection, some were scraps from other projects. i messily layered it and then placed it on top of 2 gold frames from my stash that i had placed back to back to create a bigger frame. on the top i placed my photograph.
lastly the title – i did a small sub heading ‘home’, the alphas for this were on the reverse side of the sticker sheet in the crate paper poolside collection. for the main title ‘love our views’ i used some alphas that had come in a previous kit (now sold out) from the like for ever shop.
here is the final layout….
and that’s it, i hope you like it and please leave a comment;it’s so lovely to hear from you!
’til next time
