deep and crisp and even

hiiiiiii another quick layout for you and some more snow pictures of the frillies clearing the snow outside the house, living up on the hills above Holmirth means LOTS and LOTS of snow!

i knew i wanted to use a cut file that was created by the fabulous paige taylor evens featuring snowflakes and christmas trees in a sort of fair isle pattern like a gorgeous snuggly jumper. now it’s important to say that this isn’t a christmas layout as the snow appears all the time so i knew i would cover the actual christmas trees.

this is such a detailed background do set the silhouette to cut and go off and have a brew, it took about 15 minutes to cut. for the backing page i used an older craft market collection called craft market speciality paper

this was because i wanted the pinks and golds to peep through the gorgeous cut file and shimmer in the light, but still be subtle enough to let the photographs take centre stage.

the papers used for the layers (apart from some bog standard vellum paper) is from the crate paper – hello love collection. this is a valentine/love collection but i love the colours and i can avoid the lovey dovey stuff. i layered them up and ruffled the edges to make them textured and stand proud, popped the photos on dimensional foam and then scattered embellishments from the same kit around the layers. the little ‘wild’ button and the pale blue word tags came in a studio calico kit last year some time.

for the title i uumed and aarhed for ages but settled on a line from the hymn good king wenceslas and used the gorgeous maggie holmes alphabet stickers that came in a kit last months hello beautiful kit from like for ever, although this kit has now sold out.

and that is it, layout complete and it’s so girly and pretty but i love it
