just calling by with a quick layout page.
now do you ever have a photograph and just know what needs to be done with it? that’s just what happened with this page.
i knew that i wanted to use the title snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes from the fantastic musical – the sound of music.
i had also just had a delivery of some of the gorgeous, pretty papers from crate paper – hello love
i decided that i wanted to keep a fairly clean look to the page and so decided to sew some star/snowflake shapes on the top of the background – i just drew these on in pencil and then poked holes ready for the needle and thread and then rubbed out the pencil lines. the fur on lily’s coat matched a silk thread that i already had so i used that.
in the middle section of the layout i placed the photo and then used lots of embellishments from the kit – how perfect is that little tag with eyelashes on it? Swoon!!!
the bottom section of the layout had to be the title and i used some thickers that were half white half gold which may be my favourite thickers of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, for the middle line i used some older october afternoon letters.
lots of touches of gold and then mounting the whole page on a gorgeous heart paper from the collection and done!
i loved doing this page and documenting such an adorable photograph, i mean look at that red nose and rosy cheeks HA!
’til next time
