hello beautiful – layout four

hi everyone, i’m back and quickly this time YAY!

this is my fourth layout using my ‘hello beautiful’ kit from likeforevershop.co.uk/shop – click the link on the page and it will take you straight there!

i have a thing for big bold titles so i looked at the silhouette store and found a fabulous cut out saying ‘hello adventure’ using my cameo machine i used american crafts textured white card stock and backed it with a very matt black piece of card.

AND i knew that i had a photo that had sat on my desk and it’s one of my favourite types of photo – random and holds so many lovely memories of a fantastic day out in llanwrst a lovely village near where i live. the frillies had come to stay and we always try to go there for a play in the river and a hot scone with cream and jam – google it! HEAVEN!

the treasured photo….

<<<TIP 1>>> i always add my splatters before i add any layers on to my layout – i like the organic feel i get where the blobs appear from behind the photo and i am not shy in using it so i don’t want to get it on all the layers. if i want that look i will go in afterwards and add more.

<<<TIP 2>>>  i unscrew the top and let the first large blobs land on the paper and then i tap with my forefinger the remaining liquid on the tube, i turn the paper around at angles to get the splatters to look like they are coming from the centre out. i repeat this process with the same colour as many times as i want then change colour and repeat.

anyway – back to the layout. it’s one of my go to styles of page where i know i want to use a ton of layers cut in to angular shapes. the yellows (i know i know – typical of me!) and pinks with lots of black.

i bought some add ons from the shop (essentially this means other items either from the same paper line ie maggie holmes – shine OR other goodies from other brands that co ordinate well with the main kit) included in this were the gold word stickers and the ephemera pack that has all the lovely little embellishments on the layout. also i loved the chipboard shapes which add another layer of interest and depth to the layout. the 1 2 3 numbers were fussy cut from a 6 x 6 matching paper pad from the add ons.

here is the final layout

i really hope you like it and please do leave a comment or ask any questions

thank you for taking the time to look at my blog

’til next time

C x
