hello, beautiful – layout one

hi everyone, i haven’t posted for a while as i have that horrible cold that’s doing the rounds – YAK!

i have been busy though making books – lots and lots and lots of them. i’ll be taking photos and showing you as soon as i feel a little better.

it’s new like for ever kit time and this one has me very giddy as it’s by my favourite designer – maggie holmes woop woop yay! the collection is called shine – but – at like for ever we like to call it our own name and it’s got some elements from other designers, click here for a look at the like for ever kit

i have been using this collection for all the books and i’ve also managed one layout so far…….

i am in love with this black and white striped paper and wanted a good block of it showing. in the kit there are some gorgeous vellum pockets, i used the green one and inside it is a pull out journaling spot, and decorated it with a few bits and pieces from the ephemera pack and the chipboard sheet

other than that I just mounted the white card stock on a random sheet of pink ombre paper that i had in my stash but i knew i wanted a pop of colour in rich jewel tones so using the strong red double sided tape i stuck various colours of satin ribbon in ruffles – i love how they look and the texture they add to a layout.

here are some more pics…..

the ‘love’ is a wood veneer piece that i got from studio calico ages ago and embossed with gold glittered powder, the acetate together word is also in the ephemera kit.
