in a previous post i tried to make a wreath shape but it ended up more like a flower soooooo this time i was determined HA!
I cut a circular wreath shape with some leaves attached using my silhouette cameo, which i sprayed using heidi swapp color shine in gold lame
before I adhered it to the page i did lots of splatters with various more colour shine shades: teal, seafoam and peach, for the darker blue splatters i mixed up the some watercolours for a rich deeper blue colour, then a touch of tim holtz mist in bronze.
I created a cluster and used a piece of cork as the base, for a warmer tone and to create some interesting texture. placing the wreath over the centre of the splatters and layering on my papers and photos, placing some more of the gorgeous ephemera around, including a die cut title ‘smile’ as the frillies faces are just adorable and happy!
lastly – i had been hoarding some wood chip circles by amy tan for the perfect page and this was it, layering them up and finishing them with a butterfly from the kit.
i hope you enjoyed this post, ’til next time…….
